DS Smith’s Rapak to showcase bag-in-box solutions at NACS show in US

DS Smith Plastics’ Rapak unit is set to showcase its bag-in-box solutions at the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) show in Chicago, US.

The event will take place between 18 and 20 Octoberm 2017.

The company offers a range of bag-in-bag packaging products, including bags and films, bulk containers, as well as filling machines and equipment.

With filling capacity ranges from 1.5L to 1400L, the bags are suitable for high-output production and fully automated filling machines. Bags are available in different types such as standard, aseptic, Intasept and bulk.

Intermediate bulk containers help to reduce transport and packaging costs, as well as eliminate expensive and problem-causing effluent cleaning.

The firm’s bag in box filling machines range from aseptic bag-in-box solutions to automatic and semi-automatic machines. 

Its bag-in-box packaging and filling equipment options include hot and cold fill solutions, high andlow-acid aseptic filling solutions, manual and compact fillers for product testing, semi-automatic fillers entry system and fully automatic fillers for high production.

At the event, the company will also showcase Urn-liners, which are disposable liners used in iced tea and iced coffee urns. Urn-liners are suitable for dispensing iced beverages.

DS Smith Plastics’ Rapak beverage sales director Walt Lawrence said: “We are looking forward to presenting our Bag-in-box packaging, beverage liners, and dispensing taps solutions that are widely used throughout convenience stores today.

“We have new developments in the post-mix and juice markets, specifically with our EvacuStrip bags that offer an evacuation performance in excess of 99.6%.”
