DS Smith to exhibit liquid dispensing solutions for bag-in-box applications at IPACK-IMA 2018

PKBR Staff Writer Published 04 April 2018

DS Smith Plastics, Worldwide Dispensers is set to exhibit its new liquid dispensing solutions for Bag-in-Box packaging applications at this year’s IPACK-IMA event in Italy.

The event will take place from 29 May to 1 June.

At the event, the company will exhibit new Mustang dispensing tap, VINIflow dispensing taps, Rapak Bag-in-Box bags and filling machines.

DS Smith Packaging equipment for outer cartons will also be exhibited at the event.

Mustang front-push dispensing tap, which enables effortless dispensing, is said to provide lowest oxygen transmission rate (OTR) in the industry, helping to extend the shelf life of oxygen-sensitive products.

When used on wine bags, Mustang helps to keep fresh for up to four months after it is opened. The Mustang dispenser enables sporadic consumption at home or restaurants and bars serving wine by the glass.

Mustang dispensing tap, which is suitable for bag-in-box formats and stand-up pouches, can be used with a wide range of liquids.

VINIflow dispensing taps have been developed for use with both semi-automatic and automatic filling machines. The can be used for hot fill with immediate cooling.

The dispensing taps will provide convenient pouring, better oxygen transmission rate (OTR) and directional flow.

VINIflow dispensing taps are compatible with all types of bags for bag-in-box packaging applications.

The dispensing taps can be used with a wide range of liquids such as wine, fruit juice, water, dairy products and edible oil.

The new dispensing tap is a self closing pull-tap that includes smooth and comfortable levers to dispense product by using one hand.

It will also decrease oxygen permeability, as well as offer an optimized flow rate, drip-free pouring and sealed storage.

DS Smith’s plastic division produces flexible packaging, filling equipment, liquid dispensers, rigid packaging returnables and foam products.

The firm produces different types of bags, including standard, aseptic, Intasept and bulk options.
